![]() ![]() ![]() It´s easy to put on blinders and act like this hasn't happened if you played only one game over the last 20 years but it is what it is. games and developers learned and improved over the years. Not exactly great.Last updated at 14:00:17 UTC Weekly Help Desk RAGE Loot Thread Trade ThreadĮh, I just replied with a general insult since there wasn't much else to address.ĭiablo 2 is not a complex game in any way, the builds are cookie cutter ( you pick a skill and all the skills that buff it, wow so complex ), most top builds use the same items ( enigma so on ), the endgame content is very, very limited and consists mainly of killing the same bosses over and over and over or doing xp runs in the same areas.ĭiablo 2 was a good game at one point but by todays standards it is obsolete as hell, because guess what. Now you are just stuck doing runs to find gear that's just trophies you can sell to newer players. But at least there has been increased satisfaction as the seasons progressed. I know it sounds a whole lot like D3 which basically just increased loot drop and added difficulty levels and in the end created.not much really. Even maybe yet another difficulty level to justify farming for this 1% gear? It's still amazing don't get me wrong but it would really benefit from an actual end game. This game was top of it's leage back then and now is severely lacking content because people want more replay value. Now re-releasing the game as is in 2021.well it shows that gaming has evolved. The comunity is the only reason diablo 2 got an "end game" in the end and for the early 2000's it was big. End game wasn't a thing back then and even the idea of repeating the content through harder difficulties was inovative. For the original D2 release this was exactly how 100% of the games were made. ![]()
